This task focuses on listening, reading and writing skills. Students imagine they have a part-time job at a Healthy lifestyle and well-being centre. They arrive for their shift at the Well-being centre and work through three tasks left for them by the manager.
Task overview
There are three parts to this task. The three sections should be conducted on the same day.
Part A: Students will listen to a series of voicemail messages left for the business. Students are required to write answers to questions in English about the telephone messages. This section will take approximately 15 minutes.
Part B: Students will read emails from applicants for an advertised position at the Well-being centre and answer questions in English about the suitability of the applicants. This section will take approximately 30 minutes.
Part C: Students will write a message in Japanese for the noticeboard about an upcoming event at the centre. This section will take approximately 10 minutes.
